Join us on Saturday, February 27th to celebrate Black History Month at the Newseum, to view the museum's latest temporary exhibition, 1966: Civil Rights at 50. NCAC has secured discounted ticket rates for members, guests and children! The exhibit uses powerful images and artifacts illustrating pivotal moments of the movement to explore the relationship between the news media and the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
Your tickets will allow you to visit the full museum, which celebrates the legacy of free press in the United States. Exhibits include a collection of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs, pieces of the Berlin Wall, first-person accounts of journalists during September 11, 2001, an interactive newsroom and much more. Tripadvisor users have rated the Newseum as a "Traveler's Choice Top 25 Museum in the U.S."
We will meet at the front entrace on Saturday, February 27th at 2:00 pm. NCAC will purchase the tickets, so you must show up on time to receive them.
