Are you passionate about our local Fulbright community? Do you care deeply about the future of the U.S. Fulbright Program? Interested in learning more about how Fulbright NCAC is governed?
The Fulbright Association's National Capital Area Chapter will hold its annual elections for the board of directors in May 2016. If any of the above questions speak to you, then we invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 29 to learn more about serving on the Board of Directorsfor Fulbright NCAC.
This is your chance to speak to current board members about their experiences, ask specific questions, and learn how to run for the board and about the in's and out's of board service.
We'll meet at the Fulbright Association's National Office in Washington, DC from 6:30-7:30 pm ET. The info session will take place from 6:30-7:00 pm, followed by 30 minutes of refreshments and individual mingling with current board members.
For those of you who cannot join in person, there will be a conference line available to you.
Prior to the event, we'll send you an email with all the necessary details, including building access and phone number.
Elections will be formally announced, with full instructions and deadlines, in early April.
Board membership is open to all current, dues-paying members of the Fulbright Association who are local to Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland, regardless of whether they completed a Fulbright grant. Visit Fulbright.org to learn more about becoming a member.
Terms last two full years, beginning in June.
Visiting Fulbright Students and Scholars are eligible to run but, like all candidates, are advised to have concrete plans to remain in the area long enough to complete the two-year term.
